Rock, Paper, Scissors

Another first for UK based 3d printing bureau, IPF, who have just upgraded their Connex 3d printing bureau to offer the brand new Objet ABS like material to their clients.

This upgrade will make IPF’s Connex 3d printer the first and only in the UK to be capable of printing using this immensely strong and durable material.

IPF can now offer customers an even tougher, more lightweight and flexible 3d printing option.  In addition to it’s strength, this material can resist temperatures of up to 90°C, once thermally cured. Recent models that IPF have examined include a fully functional skateboard, straight out of the printer, ready for kick flips or ollies and a pair of scissors.

This hard-core material adds to the ever expanding range of Objet materials that are available from IPF, taking the possibilities of 3d Printing even further.

In the next two weeks, IPF will be demonstrating the scissors on their website.  During the demonstration, you will be able to witness the  full extent of the material’s capabilities, as IPF put the model and the material though some tough challenges on a range of different products to see if the new ABS like material really can can ‘cut it’.

The ABS like material is one of the most recent additions to the Objet’s range of over 60 3D printing materials available for the Connex 3D printers making it the first choice for product designers and engineers who are trying to communicate their ideas using amazingly realistic models.

With so much choice now available for the Connex range of 3d printers, experience and advice are even more important if you want to achieve the perfect prototype.  IPF have built a reputation as the UK’s premier 3D printing bureau, based on providing industry renown advice and a service that is second to none.
