The flexibility of IPF’s Objet Connex 3D printing systems has now been further enhanced by the recent upgrade to Objet’s ABS-Like material (aka KryptonGreen), a new strong and heat resistant material, simulating the properties of ABS engineering grade plastics.

This now brings yet more materials to our additive manufacturing 3D printing system. Using the Connex PolyJet system allows clients to choose from over 60 materials including 51 digital materials. KryptonGreen is tough and durable, ideal for rigorous function testing applications including wind tunnels. Already this ABS material has been used in a number of applications including Automotive, Medical, Aerospace and Consumer Goods.

Objet ABS-like Digital Material (RGD5160-DM) is fabricated from FullCure®515 and FullCure®535. It is designed to simulate ABS-grade engineering plastics by combining high-temperature resistances with high toughness and can only be printed on the Objet Connex technology.

With a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 58-68 °C (136–154 °F) upon removal from the printer. A higher HDT of 82-95ºC (179–203 ºF) can be achieved after thermal post treatment in a programmable oven using different temperature profiles.

Objet’s latest ABS resin means IPF can offer clients requiring rapid manufacturing something that is now closer to the finished product. Printed in 30 micron layers KryptonGreen can offer a smooth surface finish with ultra fine detail (see below image if you don't believe us) that’s available in very short lead times. We can turn round parts in a single day, dependant on size. The majority of work can be delivered in between 2-3 days, after taking your order.

The rapid prototyping system operates and offers parts that require excellent fit, form and function. We produce these 3D models holding a tolerance of +/-0.15mm, minimum wall thickness of 1.3mm meaning you gain outstanding detail from your model whatever the application or industry you’re working in.
