IPF go Green!
Here at IPF we strive to protect the environment and the world around us whenever possible. Reuse, reduce recycle is our mantra for the autumn of 2010 and so in addition to our efforts to keep the office as paperless as possible and recycle our usual waste we have put the following into place with the help of Tri-Tech Engineering :
- All of our used and excess resin is disposed of in an environmentally friendly way
- All of our resin containers are broken down and recycled
- We continue to recycle all of our waste acrylic
- IPF are also close to reducing the amount of card and plastic that is used in collecting our waste resin by using reusable steel containers.
What do you and your company do to help the environment and reduce waste? Or if you're a fellow Objet user and would like to know how you can do the same we'd love to hear from you. Email Gary.

Gary's in the Limelight again!
You may have spotted Gary's pink shirt in the trade press recently, bestowing the virtues of the Connex500 .
He was invited to an Objet Connex500 Q&A session with the General Manager of Objet Europe Andy Middleton and was happy to share his knowledge of this revolutionary 3D printer.
"The development of materials will be a major factor [in the growth of 3D printing]. We're the only bureau in the UK with a Connex500 and our ability to print multi-material models in a single build is a real advantage over our competition. We can print models with a combination of rubberlike, flexible and rigid materials using digital materials. This combined with the accuracy of the printing, means that we are continually achieving models that better emulate the loo, feel and function of the final product.
I believe 3D printing technology will move further into short-run rapid manufacturing." - Gary Miller, IPF.
IPF are the only bureau to offer printing on this machine so Gary's expertise was invaluable. The article is featured in the August issue of Plastic and Rubber Weekly.
