Industrial Plastics Fabrication Ltd is exhibiting at Med-Tech, Ricoh Arena, Coventry from 26-27th April. Where they will be showcasing their specialist machining skills alongside their capabilities as one of the UK’s leading providers of 3D printing services. Their in-house technologies include Stratasys Connex and Connex3, Eden350V, EOS SLS, SLA and the FDM Fortus.

Our in-house Technologies

PolyJet technology 3D prints in the widest variety of materials, so you can create ergonomic tooling, and realistic prototypes. EOS SLS 3D printing uses powdered nylon 12, to build 3D printed parts with high strength and stiffness, with outstanding detail resolution. IPF is also a leading exponent of fused deposition modelling (FDM), a technique yielding parts with good geometric accuracy, durability, stability and strength, for concept models, functional prototypes, end-use parts and manufacturing tools.

Variety of Plastic Machining services…

While its 3D Printing services might be considered the technology of the moment, it is merely one aspect of a remarkable 40-year heritage of plastics engineering embodied by Industrial Plastic Fabrications. Since its establishment in 1969, the firm has been responsible for numerous stunning examples of precision machining in a wide variety of plastics; work which has included props for film and TV, including the famous Perspex aquarium bed seen in the classic James Bond film, Diamonds Are Forever.

3D printing is just part of an impressive portfolio of services that includes plastic CNC machining, and milling, plastic fabrication, UV printing, diamond tip polishing, Perspex turning, and forming. Specialist services include diffusion bonding, a technique for the molecular bonding of machined acrylic components to create a flawless, void-free permanent joint without adhesives. The technique is used in applications such as the manufacturer of Micro-fluidic medical manifolds, multi-layer manifolds, medical imaging devices and light guides.
