PEEK CNC Machining & Plastic Fabrication

High performance PEEK plastic for CNC machining and Fabrication

PEEK Machining – High Performance Polymer

PEEK—short for polyether-ether-ketone—is a pale-tan engineering plastic that stands up to punishing heat, steam, chemicals and abrasive wear long after ordinary polymers (and even some metals) give up. It operates happily around 260 °C, barely absorbs moisture, and stays electrically insulating with virtually zero out-gassing, so it’s trusted everywhere from autoclaves to satellites.

At IPFL, we routinely cut, mill and turn PEEK on 5-axis CNCs, holding ± 0.1 mm as our everyday tolerance and pushing finer when the design demands it. Micro-features such as 150 µm channels, thin-wall pockets and crisp internal threads are all in scope. After machining, we can polish sealing faces, relieve internal stresses with controlled heat cycles.

Because PEEK resists chemicals and keeps its shape under load, customers lean on it for surgical instrument handles that survive countless sterilisation cycles, wafer-handling fingers that shrug off plasma, lightweight aerospace brackets exposed to jet-fuel mist, and high-temperature bearings and valve seats inside food-processing lines.

If you have a sketch or a fully detailed CAD model, send it over! Our engineers will review the design for manufacturability and usually turn around a clear, competitive quote within a day.

The Advantages & Uses of PEEK for Machining

Durable and Versatile for Demanding Applications

PEEK stands out for its robustness in hostile environments, displaying great abrasion resistance and a high temperature tolerance. Its pale tan color is quickly recognizable, and its V-0 flammability rating makes it safe for various applications. PEEK’s chemical resistance makes it an ideal choice for sectors where exposure to harsh substances is common.

Excellence in Various Industrial Applications

Chemical Resistance: Ideal for environments with chemical exposures.

High Abrasion Resistance: Ensures longevity in abrasive conditions.

High-Temperature Resistance: Suitable for applications with elevated temperature requirements.

Applications of Machined PEEK

Hostile Environments: Perfect for components that must endure challenging conditions.
Electrical components: Its insulating properties make it ideal for electrical and scientific equipment.
Aerospace and Automotive: Used for parts requiring high strength and temperature resistance.
