What is BMF FR Resin 3D Printing Material?

BMF FR Resin is a flame retardant photopolymer developed by Boston Micro Fabrication (BMF) for use with their Projection Micro Stereolithography (PµSL) platform. It carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating at 2.0mm, which is the highest standard flame retardancy classification, meaning the material self-extinguishes rapidly when a flame source is removed and produces no dripping that could spread fire. 

Alongside that fire safety performance, FR Resin offers a Heat Deflection Temperature of 160°C, solid mechanical strength, and the micro-scale resolution that BMF printers are known for. It is available in both yellow translucent and black, and can be utilised at 2, 10 & 25 micron BMF technology at IPFL.
